PRINCIPAL UPDATE 9/8/16

TREASURER UPDATE
·  Budget is stable
·  Encouraging feedback regarding Spirit Wear, Membership from Back to School Picnic
·  no payments made this month, will have White Pines donation coming up, invoice payment for World’s Finest Chocolate

BRIEF REVIEW FROM COMMITTEES
·   Kindergarten Connection
–   Very successful, good turnout, volunteer applications were filled out by many attending
·   Back to School picnic
–   Good turnout, lots of fun, more volunteers needed
·   Membership
–   Letter to go out Wednesday, will set up board for progress before Open House
·   Spirit Wear
–   Recorded orders from picnic
–   Will have table set up at Open House
·   Fundraising
–   First fundraiser will be World’s Finest Chocolate
–   Some families would rather donate than fund raise
–   Chocolates will be delivered on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and will go home with students on Thursday, Sept. 15
–   If you donated or sold entire boxes of WFC will be entered into a raffle
·   Dine and Share
–   September 22, Charcoal Delights
–   Tentative date for October dine and share is the 21st, location to be determined
·   Halloween Fun Fest
–   Trunk or Treat in progress
–   Carnival games in gym for kids similar to last year
–   Will need lots of volunteers to help out
·   Box Tops
–   Next submission date is in November
·   Room Parent Coordinator
–   Room parent meeting to be scheduled
·   President Updates
–   Parent Information Night (Open House)
–   Table and displays for Spirit Wear and Membership
–   Will need lots of help for Halloween Fun Fair
–   2018 is South School’s 125th Anniversary
–   PTO mailbox – everyone please take their own items from the mailbox as needed
